Why does my station say “Estimated curve”?
Some NOAA stations publish official high and low predictions but not a continuous six-minute prediction curve. CoastCue interpolates between those official events and labels the resulting line Estimated instead of presenting it as a NOAA measurement or continuous prediction.
Why is there no water temperature at my station?
Not every NOAA station has a working water-temperature sensor. CoastCue shows a dash instead of inventing a value or borrowing one from an unrelated station.
Do alerts work without a signal?
CoastCue Pro fishing-window and tide reminders are scheduled locally after forecast data is downloaded, so an already scheduled reminder can fire without a signal. A connection is needed to download newer conditions, reschedule changed windows, and check current NWS warnings. CoastCue is not a background emergency-alert service.
How do I restore a CoastCue Pro purchase?
Open About CoastCue, choose CoastCue Pro and restore purchases, then tap Restore purchases while using the same Google Play account that bought the annual or lifetime option or redeemed a closed-tester code. If access still does not return, choose Purchase or restore in the support form below.
What remains free?
The fishing outlook, core weather and wave context, NWS alerts, station map, saved locations, four widgets, 24-hour tide curve, and today plus the next two planner days remain free. NOAA currents are free where local coverage exists, and live water-level corrections are free where NOAA provides a sensor. CoastCue Pro includes all seven planner days, the monthly tide planner, trip alerts, and My Spots.
Why can the displayed water level differ from a tide table?
A tide table is a prediction. Where NOAA operates a live sensor, CoastCue can show the latest Observed water level instead. Wind, pressure, river flow, and other conditions can make an observation differ from the prediction.
Before sending a data question
If possible, include the NOAA station name or number, the approximate time, and whether the app labeled the value Observed, Predicted, Estimated, or Cached. That helps separate a station issue from an interpolation or display issue.
